Weekly cleaning is recommended to be done in the following way: first of all, we should clean the upholstered furnishing and the carpets. Then, we should wipe the radiators, doors and moldings, door handles, using a damp cloth. Next, dust can be slept and the indoor plants washed. Finally, the floor should be wiped.

Seasonal cleaning is done four times a year, with the beginning of a new season. Here, it is necessary to remove all the items of the shelves and drawers, in order to clean them carefully, using a damp cloth again. Items should be ventilated and put back in their places.

Containers, vases and small objects are washed with warm water and detergent and then dried. Books are cleaned with a dry cloth or vacuum cleaning. Bed linen is aired and mattresses and upholstered furniture are cleaned. Carvings, picture frames are wiped with a dry cloth. Carpets and rugs should be washed. Ceiling and walls should be cleaned with a brush. Then, don’t forget to clean the windows. According to feng shui philosophy, they are the eyes of every home and should be always clean and shiny. Complete with washing the floor.

 

Why is it so important to take care of your refrigerator regularly? The refrigerator in our home has a very important role-to keep the food safe. In order to prevent the appearance of bacteria there and to improve the hygiene, it should be kept always clean and fresh.

Spills should be wiped up immediately- this could be done, using hot, soapy water. The mixture of baking soda and water is extremely useful when cleaning the shelves. In this way, we will avoid the unpleasant smell of detergent in the refrigerator. Detergents with strong chemicals shouldn’t interact with food. By using only natural products, you can sort the products on the shelves immediately after cleaning.

There is one more thing you could do in order to eliminate bad odors. Put an opened box of baking soda on one of the shelves. This will contribute to the freshness inside the fridge.

In case you have forgotten spoiled food inside, there is an easy trick you can do immediately. Mix equal parts of vinegar and water and scrub the shelves with the mixture. It may be repeated. Vinegar is very useful as it provides acid, which destroys mildew.

Don’t forget the exterior. You can clean it with a soft cloth and dishwashing detergent. Remember that a condenser coil should be cleaned as well several times a year. This could be done with a brush or vacuum cleaner.
